WHY SPONSOR 91.9 THE BUZZ?

91.9 The Buzz is the Voice of Georgia Southern and the source for what’s going on throughout the campus and in the Statesboro community. No other station provides specialized programming for the lifestyles of the students at Georgia Southern. We strive to provide students with the best possible listening experience: a musically diverse play-list as well as up-to-date news and information from home and abroad. Our format consists of the three most popular genres of music for the college age group, with a little something for everyone: Rock, Rap, and R&B. Students are able to stay informed with CNNRadio News, an hourly update of world news, as well as student-produced Buzz News Now, focusing on local events. Buzz 411, our community calendar, informs students of events taking place on campus and around the ‘Boro. 91.9 The Buzz is also the proud home of Georgia Southern sports. Underwriting is considered a donation to a non-profit organization and therefore, tax deductible.
